Saudi women in the sports field began their career, towards achieving leadership in the field without stopping, and it became competing with the heroism of the world and seeks to obtain high sports centers, but rather achieved successive national victories, To tell the world a new story of inspiration achieved thanks to the ambition of a woman who lived to fulfill her dream, in light of a vision that opened vast horizons in many fields, including sport for both sexes, as women’s sport had a share of the support and interest of the wise leadership -may God protect her -that humiliated all the difficulties, prepared the capabilities, and paved the challenges, with the follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Who was keen to achieve the goals of the vision in the sports field, he did not take a time or time except for its mockery to serve the sector and support the sexes.

As part of the Kingdom’s commitment to empowering women and enhancing their role in all areas of life, including sport part of the Vision 2030 goals, many decisions and steps were taken to achieve the desired goals, which were to create infrastructure, such as the creation of sports facilities for women, including halls and playgrounds, and expanding the scope of public facilities such as gardens, walking and running paths, which encouraged the practice of activity Physical among women, on the training side, various sports programs were launched targeting women, with a focus on developing women’s cadres through training and rehabilitation, which contributed to raising the efficiency of trainers and mathematical officials, which led to participation in local and international competitions, then achieving achievements in the name of the Kingdom in various forums.

Women’s sport in the Kingdom is like any new activity, before 2010, it was limited to very limited sports practices, through unofficial activities in private schools and clubs, and in 2012 the Kingdom witnessed the first official women’s participation in the London Olympics with the participation of Wijdan Ali Siraj in the Judo game, and Sarah Al -Attar in athletics.

Among the steps that supported women’s sport, specifically in 2019, which witnessed the approval of the establishment of special sports clubs for women, to witness this year a major shift in external participation through the existence of women’s teams in regional and global championships, so that the decision is compatible with the targets of Vision 2030, seeking to raise the rate of exercise in Saudi society, specifically women, which according to the latest statistics increased their participation in sports by more than 150% Since the launch of the vision, the number of mathematics recorded in various games reached more than 330 thousand girls, in addition to increasing the number of female trainers and guides and referees, and the numbers of players participating in the school league reached more than 70 thousand players, 37 national teams for women, and 97 coaches, which is the natural reflection of the creation of women’s teams in several sports such as: football, basketball, fencing, taekwondo, and others He contributed to increasing women’s participation in various sports locally and internationally, and examples are the first women’s football team in 2021.

The Saudi Sports Federation for All, contributed greatly to supporting this aspect, by launching the women’s football league at the community level, to enhance the participation of women in sports, support their sports achievements, and the Saudi Football Association organized the Saudi Premier League for women, which is the official official tournament for women’s football in the Kingdom, to start women teams, a new era, started by organizing the first season on October 13, 2022 with the participation of eight teams, and in the same year the Saudi women’s team played its first international match And he won the Seychelles team 2-0.

The support of the leadership continues to be represented in the Ministry of Sports, for the women’s sports aspect and its promotion, and one of its most important steps was an interest in sports update from a young age, so she cooperated with the Ministry of Education to introduce physical education for girls in government and private schools, which prompted the interest of girls and their families to exercise, and it became a way of life in many families whose awareness of the importance of women’s sport, and from that moment the achievements and the medals were achieved and the medals were victory The ally of Saudi women in the sports field, so that the Kingdom in the year 2023 hosted international women’s championships in boxing, judo, golf, chess and other sports that the women of the country were on their throne, but Saudi mathematics had a good share of medals in regional championships in athletics, taekwondo, karate and others.
