Diversity of services and beneficiaries

The services provided by social facilities for persons with disabilities include a wide range of programs, including what is provided directly for people with disabilities, including what targets their families, and these services include training in life skills, such as financial management, personal care, and social adaptation, in addition to behavior modification programs, and transition programs that support people in the academic or professional transition stages.
The guide includes family counseling services, providing auxiliary techniques that contribute to facilitating the participation of persons with disabilities in daily life, and the ministry pays great attention to preparing integrated transitional programs to accompany the person with disabilities from one stage to another, whether study or social.

Exact requirements for adopting programs

The new evidence imposes a set of strict requirements for the adoption of any new program, the first of which is the need for the program to be compatible with the organizational regulations for social and professional programs approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 691, as well as with the relevant executive rules issued by the ministry.

Integrated electronic documentation systems

The guide requires that each social facility depends on a unified electronic system to document the data of persons with disabilities, their training plans, and performance records, as well as human cadres data, and the details of the services provided, including complaints and quality indicators.
This documentation aims to improve control and follow up on the implementation of plans, in addition to raising the efficiency of the facility in providing personal and societal services, and improving the quality of life for the beneficiary groups.

A safe environment and carefully designed facilities

The guide requires the availability of special specifications in the residence environment to ensure safety and comfort, such as protecting the corners of the walls with anti -fire separators, providing furniture with circular corners, and a medical bed for bedders or paralysis.
The guide identified the use of soft cotton bedspreads in calm colors, and providing facilities with limited control rooms to follow all facilities facilities through high -quality cameras that include classes, corridors, squares, warehouses, and entrances.
The criteria stressed the need to adapt blackbes and training seats to suit the needs of persons with disabilities in terms of high, safety and sizes, with the use of appropriate interactive tools such as sign language or written communication.

Social activities: holistic and diversity

To ensure the integration of persons with disabilities into society, the Ministry obliged social installations to adhere to the values of Saudi society when organizing any social activity, while involving the beneficiaries and their families in planning and implementation.
The evidence stressed the diversity of activities to include cultural, sports, and recreational aspects, without focusing on one type, in addition to obtaining the necessary approvals from the ministry and maintaining free participation for the beneficiaries.

The mechanism of attendance and departure

Among the elements of direct protection confirmed by the guide is the control of the mechanism of attending and departure of children in the facilities, and documenting this electronically, as well as ensuring safe escort in cases of exit for external activities or trips, and obtaining the approval of prior parents.
