Dubai Media Academy launches "Artificial Intelligence Initiative in the Arab Media"

Dubai April 22/ WAM/ The Dubai Media Academy of the Dubai Media Corporation announced the launch of the “Artificial Intelligence Intelligence Initiative in the Arab Media”, during its participation in the “Dubai AI Week”, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and organized by the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence Uses, one of the initiatives of the Dubai Foundation for the future, during the period during the period during the period during the period during the period during the period From 21 to April 25.
The initiative aims to develop an integrated system of artificial intelligence solutions specialized in Arab media, focusing on empowering the Arabic language of different dialects, taking into account the cultural and social differences that Arab societies are distinguished, in order to ensure the production of digital content that reflects the unique Arab cultural identities and is able to address the audience smoothly.
The initiative comes in response to the collection of recommendations that the academy came out through the workshops and sessions that it organized during the past year, which highlighted the lack of artificial intelligence tools capable of dealing effectively with the complications of the Arabic language and its cultural depth.

Through this initiative, the Dubai Media Academy will find a wide umbrella that brings together media institutions, technology companies, developers, universities and research centers, to work together to find innovative solutions to confront a set of challenges represented in the weak representation of Arabic dialects, the difficulty of producing visual content that reflects the cultural identity, and providing accurate and reliable Arab training data.
In conjunction with the launch of the new initiative, the Dubai Media Academy revealed the first edition of “AI case of artificial intelligence in Arab media”, which represents a reference document that constitutes a comprehensive road map aimed at directing research and technical efforts towards developing authentic tools capable of serving Arab media and maintaining its identity.
Mona Boussara, Director of the Dubai Media Academy, said that the “Artificial Intelligence In the Arab Media” initiative represents an actual response to concrete needs expressed by those involved in the media sector in the Arab world, where we touched through the group of dialogues conducted by the academy how needed to find artificial intelligence tools capable of understanding the Arabic language and taking into account the cultural diversity of Arab societies.

She added that, based on the role of the academy as a leading research and knowledge, we are working to harness its expertise and specialized studies to serve efforts aimed at developing technical solutions that support Arab media and its ability to preserve the identity of Arab societies and their cultural privacy, and enhance its presence on the global map.
For its part, Reem Al -Marri, director of the Dubai Media Center for Media, said that artificial intelligence has become an essential pillar in the media industry, thanks to its high capabilities and capabilities on the content industry, and our priority in the Arab media is to use modern technologies to serve our language and values, and our societies are immunized from the risks of irresponsible artificial intelligence such as deep counterfeiting.
For his part, Assem Jalal, a consultant at the Dubai Media Academy, explained that what distinguishes the “Artificial Intelligence In the Arab Media” initiative is the nature of enthusiasm that brings together all actors in the media and technical field, and the constructive efforts it makes to formulate the future of the Arab media and its support with smart tools capable of understanding our culture, pointing out that the initiative represents a qualitative step towards making a nation’s future through intelligence Artificial.
Dubai Media Academy will be organized to enhance the strength of the “Artificial Intelligence in Arab Media” initiative, during the “Artificial Intelligence Week”, a series of workshops and qualitative events, in addition to launching a set of strategic projects that will be announced successively during the year.
