Japanese coach Sugiyama is counting on "Gaia Force" and"Lugal" In the Dubai World Cup races
Dubai, March 27 / WAM / Japanese coach Haruki Sugiyama expressed his aspiration to achieve a prominent international achievement during the Dubai World Cup week, relying on the duo “Gaya Force” and “Logal”, who have strong chances in the first category races at the Meydan track.
Despite the smaller Japanese presence this year, in addition to the spotlight on the horse “Forever Young” in the main race, Sugiyama enters the competition relatively calmly, but he is counting on “Gaya Force” in the “Dubai Turf” race, with a prize of $5 million, sponsored by “DB World,” and “Lughal” in the “Al Quoz Sprint”, with a prize of $1.5 million, sponsored by “Azizi Developments.”
“Gaya Force” is widely popular with fans thanks to its distinctive gray color, as it attracts attention in all its participations, whether in Japan or during its first overseas appearance at the “Champions Mile” in Hong Kong last year.
The horse, descended from “Kitasan Black”, is led by rider Ryusei Sakai for the first time on Saturday, although starting from gate 11 may represent an additional challenge, given his accustomed to competing in advanced positions.
Sugiyama expressed his complete satisfaction with the preparations of the two horses, noting their previous experience. He expressed his gratitude to the Dubai Racing Club and the Emirates Horse Racing Authority for the support they provide, stressing that this atmosphere gives them the opportunity to compete on the global stage.
