Dubai, April 22 / WAM / The Department of Economy and Tourism, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, in Dubai, revealed the report of “Future Jobs”, an ambitious plan that aims to harmonize education programs with the directions and needs of emerging sectors, and consolidate the emirate’s position as a leading global destination for business, entertainment and innovation, in line with the Dubai Economic Agency “D33” and the education strategy “E33”.
The report discusses the role of global trends, such as automation, artificial intelligence, robots and green energy, in redrawing the features of the labor market, and monitors gaps in the educational scene in Dubai, and highlights the opportunities available to align between the paths of learning and the future needs of the workforce.
The report derives many visions and analyzes from a special questionnaire conducted on the future of jobs in Dubai, with the participation of about 7800 students, with the aim of assessing the most important and most demanding skills in the labor market in the future.
Hadi Badri, Executive Director of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, the arm of the economic development of the Department of Economy and Tourism, said that the strong education sector is a basic pillar of economic growth in the emirate in the long run, as well as its role in developing talent and capabilities, and enhancing Dubai’s position as the best city to live, work and visit.
For his part, Dr. Wafi Daoud, Executive Director of the Strategic Development Sector in the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, said that the preparation of students for the future is not limited to predicting rapid changes in our world, but rather the design of an educational system is able to keep pace with and develop with it, and that the authority works through the education strategy 2033, to build an educational sector that is characterized by flexibility and inclusiveness, and is in line with the priorities of the Dubai Plan 2033 and its social agents And economic.
The report highlights the main priorities that contribute to the development of the education sector in Dubai, including the advancement of education in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, especially among female students; And support for multi -specialty studies that combine science, arts and technology; And integrate specialized skills within the curriculum; And the use of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, and digital environments that enrich the educational experience within the classes. The report also confirms the importance of a culture of adaptation and the mentality of lifelong learning, to meet the requirements of the future, in light of the rapid shift of the labor market.
