المملكة: The two semester system enhances the qualitative gains for the academic year

The Ministry praised the issuance of the Cabinet’s approval of the approval of two semesters for general education schools for the next academic year 1447/1448 AH, while maintaining the pre -approved general time framework for the academic calendar for the next four years, including the periods that determine the beginning and end of the academic year.
Promote future trends
The Ministry of Education indicated that it conducted a comprehensive study with the wide participation of specialists, educational leaders, teachers, students and parents, aimed at evaluating applied models and enhancing future trends in light of the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, and the human capacity development program as one of the vision programs.
The study concluded that improving the quality of education is not directly related to the number of classrooms, but rather the fundamental elements of the educational process, foremost of which is the qualification and motivation of the teacher, the development of curricula, the promotion of the school environment, the raising of the level of governance and institutional transformation, and the monitoring of commitment by giving more powers and flexibility to schools and enabling them a real nucleus of change, which is the pillars that the ministry pursues within Its comprehensive strategy.
The study also highlighted the importance of enhancing flexibility in the academic evaluation in proportion to the geographical and cultural diversity and the diversity and sustainability of student activities.
Promote diversity and flexibility
The Ministry indicated that it continues to enhance diversity and flexibility in some schools and governmental and private institutions, such as private and international education schools, universities and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training in terms of defining the appropriate academic system for them.
In addition to the powers granted to the education departments in the regions of Makkah Al -Mukarramah, Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah and the governorates of Taif and Jeddah; Taking into account the needs and requirements of the Hajj, Umrah and visit seasons, and achieving integration with other government agencies, in addition to stimulating societal works in these areas.
