The Prime Minister of Lebanon praises the UAE’s role in promoting stability in the region

Nawaf Salam praised the role of the UAE in promoting stability in the region and its contributions in supporting Lebanon and its stability, stressing at the same time the need for Syria to be reflected in a way that is reflected in the countries of the region, considering the visit of Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara to the UAE contributing to strengthening this stability, because the UAE has an important and essential role.
He also emphasized the design of the Lebanese government on “filling the trust gap that has arisen in the past years between Lebanon and the Arab countries,” praising Lebanon’s historical relations with the Emirates, noting the hosting of hundreds of thousands of Lebanese and all the aid that it provided and is still for Lebanon. Salam expressed his hopes of the return of Emirati citizens to visit Lebanon soon, “especially in light of the measures taken by the Lebanese government, ministries and agencies concerned to maintain aviation safety, travelers and tourists.”
Salam said in press statements today that Lebanon is keen to open a new page in the Lebanese -Syrian relations, “noting that sanctions should be lifted from Syria, which will have positive repercussions on Lebanon in terms of facilitating the return of Syrian refugees, Lebanon’s benefit from the oil and gas sector, and activating trade and transit lines.
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam reaffirmed that the Lebanese state is adhering to establishing security and stability and extending its sovereignty over its entire territory, with this sovereign decision that preserves Lebanon and its people, and opens the way for recovery on the various levels.
Salam pointed out that the government is continuing to pass the reform plan, expressing his optimism that there is a real opportunity to achieve this.
