المملكة: Beets are environmentally friendly and spread due to rain and vegetation

The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Vegetable Plant and Humanities (Waqa) (Diard) has explained that the widespread beetles are environmentally friendly, and that their spread is due to rain and increased vegetation.
He pointed out that the spread of insects was monitored in separate locations in a number of regions of the Kingdom, in addition to one site that recorded a heavy spread.
The field monitoring teams began their work, and it was found through diagnosis and inspection that they are from Etracantha Depressa and belong to the Carabidae family.

Useful environmentally friendly objects

(Waqa) explained that these beetles are classified by beneficially friendly organisms, and they feed on many pests, especially the scouts of wings, such as butterflies and Abu Daiqa, which contributes to preserving the environmental balance.

He said that its current spread is due to rain and increased vegetation, which led to environmental improvement and pests multiply on wild plants.
The center emphasized that these beetles do not constitute any harm to humans or animals, and that combating them may cause harmful opposite effects on the environment, as it is one of the beneficial predators that control some agricultural pests, as well as its contribution to the environmental balance.

Reducing or extinguishing lighting

He advised the National Center for the Prevention of Plant Pest and Animal Diseases and to combat them to reduce or extinguish lighting in locations where beetles are spread in population areas and public utilities, as they are attracted to light.
He stated that the reporting of any field views is through the unified number of the center (8002470000), and the follow -up of his educational publications through the official accounts of the center on social media.
