The director of the Sharjah Football Team, Badr Ahmed, said that yesterday, he made an inspection visit to the “Bishyan” stadium in Singapore, to determine the validity of the Sharjah match with the team of Lyon City, Singapore, scheduled for next May 18, in the AFC Champions League final, stressing at the same time, that the final decision regarding the stadium and other matters related to the team’s arrangements there will be taken after returning to the state, and after consulting with the state The coach of the team, Romanian Olario Cosmin, knowing that the “Bishan” stadium is the new alternative stadium for the former stadium “Gallan Bossar”, which Sharjah Club had objected to holding the match, as it depends on the artificial, not normal.
Ahmed added to «Emirates Today»: “Although I visited the stadium of the match, I was unable to see its grass, as it was covered, due to the presence of local elections there, and I also looked at the planning for the additional stands that will be added to the match stadium from the right and left side, which is a stadium similar to the Sharjah Club stadium in the Hazana area.”
He continued: “After returning to the state from Singapore, I will explain some matters to the coach of the team, Cosmin, from all aspects, and consult with him.”
Regarding the weather in Singapore, Badr Ahmed said: “The weather in Singapore is currently moisture and high temperatures.”
He also revealed his visit to Malaysia, to inspect a training stadium in the event that the establishment of an external camp for the team there was approved, preceding the final match.
Sharjah Club is intensifying its preparations for the final match in the Asian Championship, with the aim of working to prepare the team from all sides, to the honorable appearance and won the championship title for the first time in its history.
