In detail, the department said, according to the new policy that «Emirates Today» obtained a copy of it: “Early education institutions must appoint employees in seven mandatory jobs, including the Director of the Early Education Foundation, the Productive Education Coordinator, the Early Education Teacher (a nursery supervisor), the early education assistant, the health and safety officer, and the cleaner, in addition to the guard staff, while other jobs in the institution were identified according to the need of the place, and included Assistant Director of the Early Education Foundation (according to the needs of the institution), the curriculum coordinator, the integration teacher, the assistant class of the early years (nanny), a nurse, the bus driver and the bus supervisor (in the event of providing transportation service), in addition to administrative employees to manage the reception area in the educational institution, support communication with parents and assistance in coordinating all administrative tasks, preparing bills and dealing with payments And registration. ”

According to the new policy, early education institutions are obligated to occupy their administrative, educational and organizational functions with qualified cadres, while ensuring that the candidates for these basic positions meet the requirements of the required experience and qualifications, and to ensure that competencies of early childhood development are included as part of the job requirements for the candidates, and the candidates must also be evaluated based on their ability to show these competencies during the interview process Functional, early education institutions are committed to employing women only within the institution (in the seven jobs), while men are allowed to be employed as bus drivers and security guards (if they are guarding buildings from abroad only), and men are allowed to be employed by another party to provide infinite sports programs.

The department stipulated in the nursery manager, to have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or in early childhood education, and if a bachelor’s degree in any other specialty must be obtained, a professional certificate in leadership in the early childhood field must be obtained (the fifth level), while the function of the early education teacher is required, a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or in early childhood education, and if the degree of bachelor’s degree is In any other specialty, a professional certificate in driving in the early childhood (third level) must be obtained.

The Department of Early Education also obligated early education institutions to ensure that all employees working in them have 25 hours of continuous professional development, allocating at least three days training annually, and allocating these days exclusively to the continuous professional development of the teachers and employees concerned, and that it is calculated within the 25 mandatory training hours, and the involvement of employees in all the opportunities of professional development decided by the Education and Knowledge Department- Abu Dhabi or other bodies, and that professional development includes training programs that enhance or strengthen the competencies of early childhood development, provided that these hours include the approved training in accordance with the role of the employee, and that only contracting with external service providers licensed for continuous professional development related to organizational requirements.

The department obliged early education institutions to follow up the quality and effectiveness of the continuous professional development of employees, and to maintain accurate documentation of all their continuous professional development programs, including the number of continuous vocational development hours, attendance and areas covered by training, participants’ comments, and others, in addition to the commitment of all institutions to include early childhood development competencies as a basic criterion when assessing employee performance, and is expected Among the early education institutions is the full compliance of this policy by the beginning of the academic year 2025-2026.

The Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi stressed the necessity of introducing the data of all employees, including volunteers and individual assistants, in the (Pass) system of the Department of Education and Knowledge according to their job roles, stressing the need to fully comply with this policy by early education institutions that will start from the next academic year 2025-2026, warning that failure to comply with this policy will expose the institution For the legal accountability and the penalties stipulated in accordance with the regulations, policies and requirements of the Department of Education and Knowledge, without prejudice to any other penalties stipulated in the Crime and Penal Code and its amendments.
