“The prohibition of work at noon” will come into effect tomorrow

The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, briefed Dr. Abdul Rahman Al -Awar, on the preparations taken in one of the construction sites in Dubai to implement the “Ban of Work at noon”, which enters into force tomorrow, and it is prohibited to perform work under the sun and in open places from 12:30 pm until the afternoon after the afternoon per day, until September 15.

During the visit, he listened to a detailed explanation from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khandahab Civil Engineering Company, Tariq Khanasah, about the company’s sustainable workers ‘initiatives, and the measures it takes to provide a work environment that meets the standards and requirements of occupational health and safety, especially in terms of providing a place for workers’ rest during the “Labor District at noon”, and providing it with cooling and cold water devices, and other means that guarantee their health safety, And their comfort and happiness.

He praised the company’s initiatives, and its experience in the areas of social responsibility, praising the pivotal role that private sector companies in the country play by enhancing the competitiveness and leadership of the labor market in the country.

And participated in the field visit, “Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank”, “Astir Medical Group” and “The National Foodstuff Company”, which provided services to workers, and conducted medical examinations to workers in the company, and educating them about the methods of preventing thermal exhaustion.

The application of the “Labor Prohibition at noon” comes for the 21st year in a row, based on a sustainable methodology that the UAE applies in the context of its keenness to provide a safe work environment that responds to the best practices and requirements of professional health and safety, in order to avoid the workforce injuries and damage that may result from work in high temperatures during the summer months.
