The Ministry of Finance organizes an awareness session for Emirati students in Washington

Washington, on April 28/ WAM/ The Ministry of Finance held an awareness session at the headquarters of the country’s embassy in the American capital, Washington, which brought together a group of Emirati students studying in the United States of America, coinciding with the launch of the “Emirates International Cadres” initiative aimed at discovering training programs and employment opportunities in international financial organizations.
The session comes within the Ministry’s efforts to invest in people and qualify and enable national cadres to join international financial organizations and institutions.
The session was attended by His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and Ali Abdullah Sharafi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for International Financial Relations, Azza Ali Al Jasmi, Director of Government Communication Department, and Three Hamid Al Hashemi, Director of International Relations and International Financial Organizations Department, as well as representatives of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, who gave an explanation about employment mechanisms and professional development opportunities in those institutions.
In his opening speech, His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury stressed that the “Emirates International Cadres” initiative represents a strategic project to build a generation of Emirati youth, with the aim of representing the UAE in international financial institutions.
He explained that the goal of the initiative is to provide clear paths for loan, training and work in the largest financial organizations in the world, in order to enhance the efficiency of our national cadres, and open doors and leadership opportunities in front of them in the international arena.
His Excellency said: “Your presence today reflects the spirit of initiative and ambition, and we are betting on your ability to be the best of the UAE in global influence sites, because investment in the Emirati person is the most expensive investment, and the initiative of” UAE International cadres “is the gateway to this investment towards the future.”
For its part, His Excellency Alia Al -Suwaidi, Vice President of the Mission at the UAE embassy in Washington, stressed that the Embassy of the State in Washington was keen to enhance communication with all Emirati students studying in the United States, and seeks to involve them in various events and initiatives organized by the embassy, believing in their vital role as ambassadors of the values of their country established in international forums, pointing out that these meetings not only contribute to enriching their knowledge, It also enables them to build a vocational relations network that supports their future career, and enhances the presence of Emirati competencies in international organizations.
The most prominent training and professional programs available were reviewed in the most prominent international financial institutions in which the state is participating, as the session witnessed a great interaction of students, and the application mechanisms, admission requirements, and the most requested specializations in international financial institutions were reviewed, and the participants expressed their interest in knowing how to deal with multi -cultural work environments and graduate in global job paths.
Representatives of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund also reviewed the most prominent professional opportunities available and the paths that UAE youth can take to start their international career through specialized programs.
These awareness programs are the result of the growing strategic relations that link the UAE to international financial organizations, and aims to support national competencies in the economic, financial, accounting and international relations fields, and enable them to assume leadership and executive positions in international financial institutions.
It is worth noting that the session comes in the context of a series of awareness meetings organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a number of capitals that embrace the headquarters of international financial organizations, to educate Emirati students about the targeted specializations and opportunities to join these institutions.
It also comes in the context of supporting the government’s efforts in qualifying national cadres through strategic initiatives with a societal and global impact.
