Rabat, April 28/ WAM/ The “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives”, represented by the Arab Reading Challenge Initiative, concluded its participation in the Rabat International Book Fair 2025, which continued its activities from 17 to 27 April.
The participation of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative in the 30th session of the Rabat International Book Fair, which is one of the largest cultural exhibitions in the African continent and the Arab world, and attracted this year more than 743 exhibitors from about 50 countries, is keen to enhance the position of the Arabic language, enrich the Arab cultural scene, and embody the role of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative as the largest reading demonstration of its kind in the Arabic language in the world.
The “Arab Reading Challenge” pavilion won a great interaction from the exhibition visitors and participants in the previous sessions of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative at the level of the Kingdom of Morocco, whose number has escalated significantly, as they reached 85625 students in the first session, bringing the number to more than 4 million and 342 thousand students in the ninth session with an increase of 4971% for the first session, as the students of the Kingdom of Morocco participated in the session participating in the session. The “Arab Reading Challenge” suite during its participation in the exhibition received more than five thousand visitors, who interacted with more than 25 educational and cultural workshops, on the importance of spreading the culture of reading as the cornerstone in developing the capabilities of new generations, in addition to focusing on the role of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative in developing creative thinking and self -learning skills, and building the value system of young people by informing them of the values, customs and beliefs of other cultures.
The workshops presented by a group of professors were distinguished, in which winners and winners participated in previous courses of “Arab Reading Challenge” with the richness of the axes and the attractiveness of the show, which contributed to the success of the participation of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative in the 30th session of the exhibition.

On this occasion, Dr. Fawzan Al -Khaldi, Director of Programs and Initiatives at the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation, said that participation in the 30th session of the Rabat International Book Fair, as an ideal opportunity to introduce visitors to the exhibition and those interested in the cultural movement with the achievements of the “Arab Reading Challenge” initiative, which aims to build the value system of emerging generations, where the Foundation provided visitors with a glimpse of the stages of the development of the qualitative initiative and the high number of the number of the number Participants every year, and their future aspirations to upgrade the cultural and knowledge scene in the Arab world.
He added that the Foundation reviewed the role played by the Arab Reading Challenge initiative that was launched in the 2015-2016 academic year in consolidating the culture of reading in the Arabic language, encouraging emerging generations to use it in their daily dealings, developing mechanisms for absorption and self -expression in a sound Arabic language, developing creative thinking skills, and producing a comprehensive reading and knowledge movement, as well as highlighting the digital library with what this platform provides from knowledge A culture for its users.
It is noteworthy that the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative, which is under the umbrella of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation witnessed record participation of 32 million and 231 thousand students from 50 countries representing 132112 schools, and under the supervision of 161004 supervisors and supervisors.
