15 dead in an ISIS attack at the funeral of a local leader in Nigeria

ISIS gunmen fired a funeral in a village in the northeastern state of Borno, killing at least 15 people, according to a local official and residents of Agence France -Presse on Tuesday.
The attack that took place on Monday is the latest in a series of violence in the region that held its responsibility for the jihadist groups that have climbed their attacks in recent weeks, and more than 50 people have been killed in the area last week.

In storming the village

The sources said that ISIS fighters in West Africa stormed the village of Kawabli near the town of Shaibuk at approximately 17:00 GMT on motorcycles, and opened fire on the residents who gathered for the funeral of a local leader in the village.
“Until this morning, 15 bodies have been found in the village and the surrounding forests,” said Ayoub Aleson, one of the local leaders in Chipuk.
He added that “ISIS operatives in West Africa shot the shameful and chasing them on motorcycles in the bush while trying to escape.”
