Trump signs a decision to spare automobile manufacturers in America, cumulative definitions
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at sparing car manufacturers producing US lands to push cumulative definitions on their products and imported spare parts.
“We simply want to help them during this transitional period,” Trump, before heading to Detroit (Michigan), said, noting that “we simply want to help them during this transitional period,” noting that this measure is “short -term.”
Thus, the manufacturers will be exempt from paying other customs duties, similar to that imposed on steel or aluminum.
Encouraging car production
An official at the US Department of Commerce said earlier that manufacturers would pay the “higher” amount.
In addition, the president decided to take a temporary measure to reduce the customs bill for manufacturers who produce and sell their cars in the United States.
According to the announcement, the goal lies in “protecting national security by encouraging cars production on American soil, and reducing the United States’ dependence on foreign cars imports and spare parts.”
