المملكة: 30 days a maximum to inform applicants of the results of the job interviews

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has adopted the controls for announcing job vacancies and conducting job interviews, to raise the quality of services provided to job seekers, by controlling and unifying the procedures for announcing job vacancies and conducting job interviews, as the Ministry seeks to develop an integrated system of regulations and decisions aimed at upgrading the labor market.
The controls target employers and human resources officials with private sector facilities, and job seekers.

The most prominent controls

The general controls stipulated that the announcement of functional vacancies and the conduct of job interviews does not contain any type of discrimination such as discrimination on the basis of sex, disability, age, or social status or any other form The necessary employment fairs or public invitations outside the workplace through the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences in accordance with the regulations regulating this.

Taking into account the unified Saudi classification of professions

While the controls to be taken into account when announcing job vacancies stipulated that the jobs advertised are compatible with the professions mentioned in the unified Saudi classification of the professions, and that the announcement of job vacancies through the digital platforms approved by the ministry or the website and the official social media accounts of the facility or licensed employment fairs.
And that the job advertisement contains an overview of the facility that includes: (the name of the facility, its activity, its headquarters, the work site), and the job advertisement must contain a clear functional description of the vacant and the requirements for applying for the job in the advertisement include: (job title, job tasks, minimum scientific qualification, skills and years of experience required to fill the job, method of application, the nature of the work and its hours and the advantages Job), in addition to determining the period of application on the job vacancy (the date of opening and closing the job advertisement), and that the reception of employment applications should be electronic.

Conditions for conducting job interviews

As for the controls that must be taken into account when conducting job interviews, applicants for the job interview must be limited and send an invitation to notify each applicant to the type of interview (attendance – remote – phone), while setting the date and time expected to make it before the appointment for a period of not less than three working days.
The location of the interview must also be appropriate – whether it was outside or inside the headquarters of the facility – in a manner that is appropriate for the numbers of applicants for the job and in a place apparent with open entrances and exits, and adequate offices and seats, with the importance of fulfilling the place for occupational safety and health requirements that protect applicants.
Providing an electronic security system or security guard as well as toilets according to the gender of the applicants, in addition to providing drinking water.
In the event that the applicant is disabled, the appropriate means of communication must be provided according to his disability, as well as providing the facilitator’s arrangements and services that guarantee the ease of reaching all the facilities of the interview.

Controls of the interviewing committee

The controls that must be taken into account when conducting job interviews stipulated the formation of a committee to conduct the interviews of no less than two people, and its members are from the Saudis and one of them is human resource specialists, and the committee can be used for non -Saudi specialists when necessary, provided that their number does not exceed half the number of members of the committee.
The committee is prohibited from asking questions related to personal freedoms and the like during the job interview, or asking questions related to secret information of the facilities that the former applicant was working.
The controls also stipulated the documentation of the results of the job interviews so that they can be referred to when needed, and to inform the applicants of the result of the job interview by any official communication means in a maximum period of thirty days from the date of the interview, and in the event that the applicant does not pass the interview, the reasons for it are clarified.
