More than a thousand participants on the first day of the starting upcoming technology governance summit

Abu Dhabi, May 6 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Bureau, yesterday in Abu Dhabi, the first edition of the summit of governance of emerging technologies “Gets 2025” was launched yesterday in Abu Dhabi, by organizing the advanced technology research Council “ATRC”, in the strategic partnership with the Federal Public Prosecution.

The summit, which extends for today’s work, is participating in global policy makers, legal experts, technicians, and young leaders in a global gathering is the first of its kind on the responsible governance of advanced technologies.

The first day of the summit witnessed the presence of more than a thousand participants from more than 20 countries, including ministers, personalities and high -level Arab delegations, most notably the Attorney General of the State of Qatar and his accompanying delegation, the Attorney General of the Arab Republic of Egypt and his accompanying delegation, the assistant at the Attorney General in the Sultanate of Oman and his accompanying delegation, in addition to judges and policy experts, and leading international figures in the fields of technology and law.

The first day agenda dealt with important issues in the future of digital transformation, such as: ethics in artificial intelligence, regulating data across borders, cyber flexibility, and post -quantum security.

He delivered major words by His Excellency Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney General of the Federation, His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al -Bannai, Advisor to the President of the State for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, Secretary -General of the Council of Advanced Technology Research, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al -Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Al -Kutiti, President of the Cyber ​​Security Council of the UAE government, His Excellency Maqsoud Cruz, President of the National Authority for Human Rights and His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Obaid Al -Kaabi, Head of the Judicial Department of the Emirate of Sharjah, and Chancellor Salem Ali Al -Zaabi, head of a prosecution at the Federation’s Attorney General’s Office.

His Excellency Hamad Al Shamsi stressed that the UAE continues to confirm its leadership role in leading global dialogue on technology governance, by calling for the development of transparent systems, subject to accountability, and based on human values, indicating that the summit confirms the belief that innovation is not complete without moral commitment, and that the future of emerging technologies should be directed not only to technological progress, but by the high goal that serves man and society.

In a special dialogue session, His Excellency Faisal Al -Bannai pointed out the urgent need for responsible innovation, pointing to the importance of global technology governance.

His Excellency added that technical institutions must take responsibility for the techniques they launch, and this requires strong and continuous cooperation between the actors in the field of technology and organizers.

The summit also witnessed the holding of several sessions through which it shed light on the decisive role of youth in forming digital governance, the challenges of the structure of independent systems and the protection of digital rights, the role of technology in developing global judicial systems, and the challenges of artificial intelligence in the field of information privacy.

The cyber repercussions of advanced and emerging technologies also discussed the importance of the integration of government, technology and society roles to build a more fair digital future, and ways to prepare for the future of postmome, cyber security and business governance.

Within the session held under the title “From Vision to Empowerment: The Road Map for the Future of Criminal Justice 2030”, Counselor Salem Al-Zaabi reviewed the strategy of the artificial intelligence of the Public Prosecution of the Emirates for the years 2025-2030, through which the prosecution seeks to establish its position as a leading judicial and legal institution that adopts digital innovation and smart governance within its comprehensive strategic vision.

He pointed out that the strategy is based on the use of artificial intelligence technologies and advanced technologies in enhancing the efficiency of the criminal justice system, supporting decision -makers, and improving the quality of services provided, while ensuring commitment to the highest ethical and legal standards.

The summit that witnessed the participation of the Trends Center for Research and Consulting as an official cognitive partner has provided a number of international recommendations on its first day, as it called for the necessity of finding a global charter of human interaction with artificial intelligence that ensures the integration of morals and equality in innovation from the beginning, and also pointed to strengthening the role of youth as participants in designing digital governance, and reviewed the importance of adopting cybersecurity and digital trust As national necessities, and work to achieve the required balance between law, justice and technical development.

The summit also discussed quantitative readiness and post -encryption security, as it urged early measures, and called for data audits, encryption promotions, compatibility with post -quantum standards, in addition to reviewing the topic of digital inclusion and linguistic equality in artificial intelligence.
