The “UAE Heritage .. History and Civilization” exhibition in Umm Al Quwain reviews the ancient history of the state

Umm Al -Quwain on May 14 / WAM / Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, head of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, visited the artistic heritage exhibition organized by the Umm Al Quwain Cultural Cultural Center with the participation of a group of academic and cultural institutions in the country under the title “The Heritage of the Emirates .. History and Civilization”, which comes within the strategy of the Ministry of Culture aimed at preserving the national cultural heritage and enhancing its presence in societal awareness.
The organization of this exhibition comes within a series of cultural initiatives supervised by the center, with the aim of consolidating the values of the national identity and enhancing affiliation with the historical legacy of the UAE.
The exhibits of the exhibition varied between visual art, heritage figures, and handicrafts, as well as rare artifacts that highlight the ancient history of the state, as the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design presented a set of artworks under the slogan “Al -Bqasha” that included figures and artistic paintings that reflected the understanding of the students of the deep college of cultural identity and Emirati heritage, where these concepts were re -presented through some of them. Augmented reality technology, which gave a new interactive dimension that combines originality and technology.
The Sharjah Heritage Institute participated in a set of paintings and figures that represent the old Emirati folk games, with a highlight of the societal values that governed the interaction between individuals in the traditional environment, and the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain presented a presentation of a number of artifacts that were discovered in the site of the archaeological role, one of the most important historical sites in the emirate, which reflects the extension of the roots of the Emirati civilization to Thousands of years.
The Gran Center for Family Projects complained of a group of heritage handicrafts created by productive families, which highlight their keenness on the traditional Emirati crafts and support their sustainability as an economic and cultural tributary.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla stressed, during his inspection of the exhibition, the importance of the role played by heritage and academic institutions in preserving the cultural heritage of the UAE, praising its continuous efforts in highlighting the heritage with innovative methods that combine originality and contemporary, appreciating the initiatives provided by some parties participating in the exhibition, which employed the techniques of the augmented reality in displaying the heritage components, which reflects an advanced understanding of the importance of the importance Documenting heritage and presenting it to new generations in the language of the times.
He said that preserving heritage is a societal responsibility in which all groups of society shares, stressing the vital role that individuals, families and local institutions play in inheriting authentic values and customs, and supporting events and initiatives concerned with national heritage, in addition to the pivotal role played by the Ministry of Culture in supporting the preservation efforts, through the launch of national programs and initiatives that enhance the sustainability of cultural identity, and support creative projects that highlight On the Emirati heritage and presents it with contemporary methods that keep pace with the aspirations of new generations.
For his part, Abdullah Bouasiba, director of Umm Al Quwain Cultural Center, said that organizing this exhibition comes in the context of the center’s keenness to contribute effectively to preserving the cultural heritage, by providing an integrated cultural experience with the aim of introducing the ancient UAE history with modern artistic media that combines creativity and knowledge, and the Ministry of Culture’s vision in enabling cultural institutions is embodied in the performance of its educational and societal role.
The exhibition was attended by His Excellency Khaled Omar Al -Harji and His Excellency Aisha Rashid Litem, members of the Federal National Council and a number of directors of federal institutions in Umm Al Quwain and those interested in heritage.
