The start of the 35th session of Sharjah theatrical days next March

Sharjah, August 19 / WAM / The Culture Department in Sharjah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, will organize the thirty -fifth session of Sharjah theatrical days, during the period from 24 to 31 March 2026, with the participation of a group of Emirati and Arab theatrical teams.
In the context of preparing for the new session, the Supreme Organizing Committee for the effectiveness held its first meeting headed by Ahmed Bouraima, Director of theater Department in the Department of Culture and the Director of Sharjah theatrical days, in the presence of the committee members Ismail Abdullah, Muhammad Jamal and Abdullah Rashid.
The meeting reviewed the most prominent features of the last session, praising the efforts of the participating theatrical teams, and the contributions of creators in the accompanying monetary and intellectual programs, as well as praised the local and Arab media coverage that accompanied the event.
The committee continues to receive participation requests from theatrical teams until November 30, in preparation for the announcement of the next session program.
The “Sharjah Theatrical Days”, which was established in 1984, is one of the most prominent cultural and artistic events in the country, as it constitutes an annual platform for competition between Emirati theater teams through a set of awards that honor excellence in theater arts.
The event includes a series of accompanying cultural activities with the participation of artists and thinkers from inside and outside the country, with the aim of supporting and developing the theatrical movement and promoting theatrical culture in society.
