Khalifa bin Mohamed discusses with the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education to open the edifice of Alexandria University in Abu Dhabi
Cairo, August 20 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alexandria University-Abu Dhabi, and His Excellency Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab Republic of Egypt, discussed during their meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital in Egypt, the executive position of the opening of the Alexandria University in Abu Dhabi with the start of the academic year 2025-2026, along with the prospects for cooperation Higher, scientific research, innovation, and the exchange of academic experiences, in a manner that ensures the employment of research outputs in an optimal way, and contributes to building human capabilities and enhancing the foundations of the knowledge economy in the two brotherly countries.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan stressed that the established brotherly ties that bring together the UAE and the Arab Republic of Egypt represent a solid pillar to enhance academic and scientific partnerships, appreciating the accelerated development and growth of the Egyptian higher education system at the regional and international level The requirements of the labor market and meet the priorities of development.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Ayman Ashour affirmed the depth of historical and strategic relations that bring Egypt and the UAE, pointing out his country’s keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation with Emirati academic institutions in various educational and research specializations, in a way that contributes to promoting building national competencies and preparing generations capable of innovation and active participation in the paths of sustainable development.
Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University, explained that work is underway to complete the equipment for the university’s discretion in Abu Dhabi, which will present advanced and qualitative study programs in the fields of health, engineering, computer science, business and humanities, as well as professional programs and joint scientific degrees in cooperation with prestigious international universities, stressing that the establishment of the international branches of the university reflects its vision in promoting academic and cultural rapprochement, and expanding areas of cooperation And the exchange of knowledge, in order to support its position as a leading educational institution with global competitiveness.
