Etihad Airways continues to expand its fleet by confirming the demand for the purchase of 28 Boeing aircraft

Abu Dhabi, May 16 / WAM / Etihad Airways announced today that it continues to expand its fleet, with an order to buy 28 Boeing aircraft.

According to a press release issued by the company, that since 2023, the company has been steadily developing its fleet in the framework of a long -term strategy to double the volume of the fleet by 2030.

This recent demand reflects the continuous approach to the Etihad Airways in align its fleet with the needs of the network and the increasing operational needs.

The agreement includes the Boeing 787 and Boeing “777X”, which operates with General Electric engines and is supported by a package of maintenance services.

These aircraft are expected to join the fleet as of 2028, to support the current union’s growth plans in the field of transportation, operational efficiency and guest experience.

Antonaldo Nevis, CEO of Etihad Air, said that this commitment reflects the Etihad Airways approach to managing its fleet and expanding in line with the demand and its long -term network plans, and since 2023, the company has made continuous additions to its fleet, indicating that this last step ensures its continuation in meeting its future requirements.

He stressed that Etihad Airways is currently working on the final touches on a detailed plan that will focus on the company’s strategy until 2035, pointing out that the additional Boeing aircraft will form part of this road map, which ensures that the company is placed in a good position to provide exceptional experiences for its guests and its continuation in achieving self -sustainability.

Nevis added that this addition reflects the continuous investment of Abu Dhabi in the aviation sector as a major empowerment factor for communication, tourism and trade, and supports the continuous growth of Etihad Airways wider economic opportunities in the United Arab Emirates and abroad.
