His Highness stressed that “the approach of the aviation sector, which was launched from a sandy runway in the sixties of the last century, to Dubai International Airport, stuck with the emirate’s ambitions high, to become the largest airport in the world, in terms of the number of international passengers, in addition to the (Emirates Airlines) that has become the largest international tanker in the world, through the inauguration of (Fly Dubai) that expanded the prospects for regional and global air links.”
His Highness continued: «This vision also resulted in a great success for Dubai Aviation Industries, which is one of the main players in the global aviation system that Dubai is constructed steadily and professionally, and the company provides its services to more than 200 clients from airlines.
His Highness pointed to the pivotal role of Dubai Aviation Industries, in supporting the global air transport sector, and providing flexible and innovative solutions to airlines around the world. By managing a wide and varied fleet of aircraft, and its smart investments in the assets, the company was able to establish Dubai’s position as an integrated global center in the field of aviation.
His Highness stressed that “what has been achieved in Dubai is a direct result of a continuous investment in infrastructure, advanced technologies and human cadres,” adding that “Dubai will continue to draw the features of the future in the aviation industry, and provides a global model to be followed in innovation, flexibility and leadership.”
An ambitious vision
Dubai Aviation Industries Company was established in 2006, and its operations began with an ambitious vision aimed at consolidating Dubai as a global airline. Since then, the company has taken wide steps through which its location was established at the forefront of global aircraft rental companies. According to the data, the “Ayas” customer base at the time included more than 85 airlines in more than 45 countries. With this acquisition, “Dubai Aviation Industries” increased its load -owned fleet to about 400 aircraft, with a value of more than $ 14 billion (about 51 billion dirhams), and about 117 airlines in 57 countries.
Data showed the company that this acquisition increased the size of its business portfolio more than twice, and contributed to enhancing the “Dubai Aviation Industries” position in the market.
In March 2025, “Dubai Aviation Industries” signed agreements with several parties to acquire 17 aircraft with a total value of about one billion dollars (3.67 billion dirhams), and this portfolio consisted of fully of the new generation planes, 89% of which are tight body aircraft, divided into 80% of the production of Airbus, and 20% of the production of “Boeing”.
The company explained that, in line with its commitment to improving its fleet of new generation planes, and reducing the average life of the fleet, these aircraft added fuel and equipped with modern technology added to its wallet.
“Nordic” deal
At the beginning of this year, Dubai Aviation Industries announced an agreement to acquire the Group of “Nordic Avivation Capital” operating in the aircraft rental sector for more than 30 years. In May, “Dubai Aviation Industries” announced its completion of the acquisition process of 100% of the existing capital of “Nordic Avivation Capital” and its unified companies, from NAC Holding Company Ltd., and the total value of this deal was estimated at about two billion dollars (about 7.34 billion dirhams).
After completing this deal, “Dubai Aviation Industries” became a fleet consisting of 750 owned and managed aircraft, knowing that the aircraft and managed aircraft fleet includes about 650 rented aircraft for 161 airlines in 74 countries. In addition, “Dubai Aviation Industries” adhered to acquisition of about 100 Boeing, Airbus and ATR companies.
The company said in a statement, that this deal will contribute to enhancing its global position in the aircraft rental market, while improving its ability to provide more efficient and effective solutions, in terms of cost to its current and future customers.
According to the company’s data, its current fleet places it in the third place globally among the aircraft rental companies, in terms of the number of aircraft.
Credit classification
In June of last year 2024, the “Fitch” credit rating agency raised the classification of Dubai Aviation Industries to the “BBB” level with a stable future outlook, and the agency expected that the demand would be strong on the aircraft rented from airlines.
During the current year, the agency “KBRA” confirmed the “Dubai Aviation Industries” credit rating at “BBB” and raised its future outlook from “stable” to “positive”. The company said in its financial report at the end of 2024, that its performance was estimated by the “Fitch” credit rating agents and “Moody’s” for investor services, which raised its credit rating thanks to its high efficiency in managing its financial affairs, including the commitment to achieve the adequacy of capital and maintain great liquidity.
Maintenance and engineering
In 2016, Dubai Aviation Industries signed a final agreement to acquire 80% of the “Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Company” (Guamco) from the “Abraaj Group”. The Jordanian Aircraft Maintenance Company (Guamco) was established in 1963, and it has a prominent position as an independent company that provides maintenance, repair and repair of commercial aircraft, for a wide range of customers in the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, Africa, Russia and the countries of the Association of Independent Countries.
Guamco provides its services to several models of manufactured aircraft, which is the accreditation of many organizational authorities, including the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority in Jordan, the US Federal Aviation Authority, the European Aviation Safety Agency, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Emirates.
Strong performance for the fiscal year 2024
Dubai Aviation Industries has recorded a strong performance during the fiscal year 2024 in various indicators, compared to the levels of the previous year, and according to the company’s data, the number of aircraft acquired 83 aircraft (30 owned aircraft and 53 managers), while the number of aircraft sold 68 aircraft (19 owned and 49 orbit), and the number of rental agreements, extensions and signed amendments reached 233 agreements by the end of the fiscal year, and the profits increased Transferred 45% of taxes to about 1.95 billion dirhams (532.3 million dollars), compared to 1.34 billion dirhams (366.3 million dollars) in 2023.
The company said that it witnessed in 2024 a distinct performance, as it took important steps by acquiring it on owned and managed planes, which led to the revenue raised 9%and the increase in profits before taxes by 45%, which enabled it to achieve strong results in the profit margin before the tax and the return of property rights.
The company emphasized that its public budget by the end of 2024 is stronger than ever, while its standards for capital, liquidity and financing are still within the specified domains, which was reflected in the credit rating procedures taken by the “Moody’s” and “Fitch”. The company’s total assets reached 13.1 billion dollars (48 billion dirhams) at the end of March 2025.
According to the data, all the company’s aircraft at the end of 2024 were either leased within long -term rental agreements, or in the last stages of negotiations with airlines. The request record also included obligations for long -term rental contracts until mid -2026.
In turn, the company’s engineering department achieved record results, as its annual revenues rose 33% to 186.4 million dollars (about 684 million dirhams), while its profits increased 94% to 43.2 million dollars (about 158.5 million dirhams). With the addition of a modern aircraft barn that includes five new lines in its facility (Guamco) in the Jordanian capital, Amman, the company expected that its ability to receive aircraft will increase by about 30%, which enhances the status of “Guramco”, as it is one of the prominent companies in the maintenance, repair and renewal of aircraft structures in the region.
