"Edge"UAE is entrenched its position on the global manufacturing map led by artificial intelligence

Abu Dhabi, May 20/ WAM/ Ahmed El -Khoury, First Vice President of Strategy and Excellence in the Edge Group, confirmed that the UAE continues to establish its position as a major player on the global industry map, driven by a comprehensive digital transformation and adopting artificial intelligence technologies within the various manufacturing sectors within the framework of the national industry and advanced technology strategy “project 300 billion”.
Al -Khoury said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of “Made in the Emirates 2025”, that the UAE is building an advanced manufacturing system that depends on the techniques of the fourth industrial revolution, noting that the “Edge” group applies artificial intelligence in the design of products, improving supply chains, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Al -Khoury pointed out that “Edge” plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic priorities of the state, by developing advanced systems in the fields of defense, space, aviation and manufacturing, in a way that enhances industrial independence, and supports the growth of small and medium -sized companies.
He reviewed the most prominent projects developed by the group recently, including the “FA-400” patrol ship, which was developed under the leadership of a young Emirati, and the running plane “Gear” that was revealed during the last “IDEX” exhibition, stressing that these projects reflect the national capabilities in developing advanced solutions with global standards.
He stated that many of the defense techniques that the group developed are applicable in civil sectors such as energy, transportation and smart manufacturing, which enhances investment in research and development and serves the goals of economic diversification.
He stressed that “Edge” is invested greatly in research and development, especially in the areas of artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, and radars, in cooperation with academic institutions and local and international research centers.
On efforts to qualify national cadres, Al -Khoury said that Emirati engineers are directly participating in the design, development and testing of advanced systems, noting that the group provides specialized programs to qualify them in vital areas such as geographical intelligence and self -systems.
He added that “Edge” reviews during its participation in the “Maken in the Emirates 2025” platform, the latest promotions of its smart factories within its digital transformation, in addition to announcing new industrial partnerships and innovative production lines, noting that the group’s learning and innovation factory, which was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, will form a major platform to accelerate the industrial transformation in the country and the region.
He pointed out that “Edge” continues to work to build an advanced national industrial base, led by Emirati competencies, and serves the strategic country targets in the long run.
