UAE and Australia hold the tenth session of the Joint Consulate Committee

Canberra on May 24/ WAM/ The United Arab Emirates and Australia held the tenth session of the Joint Consulate Committee; In the Australian capital Canberra; This is in conjunction with the celebration of the fifty years since the establishment of the UAE-Australian diplomatic relations, and to complete a series of high-level meetings, most notably the visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Australia in November 2024, and the official visit carried out by His Excellency Sam Mustin, the general ruler of the Commonwealth of Australia to the United Arab Emirates in the month of April 2025.
The Emirati delegation was headed by His Excellency Faisal Issa Lotfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Australian side chaired Sayra Spencer, Acting Assistant Minister of International Security Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in the presence of a number of representatives of the competent authorities in both countries, including the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE, in addition to representatives of the authorities In Australia.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Lotfi conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his wishes for the success of this session, while he affirmed the depth and durability of bilateral relations between the two countries and their continuous development in various fields, especially at the consular level, and the mutual keenness to enhance the prospects of cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and their two friendly peoples.
The meeting also witnessed the discussion and discussion of a number of issues and issues of mutual interest in the consular field, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of providing consular services, and the most prominent developments related to bilateral consular issues and the mechanisms of follow -up and their development; Where the two countries affirmed their joint commitment to continue to enhance consular cooperation, provide proactive and innovative services that meet the aspirations of their citizens, and to build on the established Emirati-Australian strategic partnership.
