The Emirates Accounting Agency is looking to enhance regulatory cooperation with the Qatar Audit Bureau
Abu Dhabi, May 29/ WAM/ His Excellency Hamid Obaid Abu Shabas, head of the Emirates Accounting Agency, received His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al -Emadi, Head of the Audit Bureau in the State of Qatar and his accompanying delegation, in Abu Dhabi today, as part of an official visit aimed at expanding the prospects for partnership and coordination in the fields of financial supervision and accountability.
The meeting dealt with ways to enhance the exchange of institutional knowledge, develop the efficiency of supervisory work, and adopt innovative practices that contribute to raising the efficiency of auditing systems in the public sector. The two sides also discussed the importance of employing modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence, in improving the quality of operations and enhancing transparency and accountability.
This visit comes within the framework of broader efforts made by the Gulf Cooperation Council states to enhance regulatory integration and unify the supervisory efforts in protecting public resources and support sustainable development, as the two sides stressed during the meeting the importance of building national capabilities and intensifying joint institutional coordination in a way that contributes to enhancing confidence in Gulf regional institutions at the regional and international levels.
