Emirates Airlines will resume its flights to Damascus from July 16

Emirates Airlines announced the resumption of its flights to Damascus from July 16, 2025, after it had suspended its operations to the Syrian capital in 2012, and this decision comes after a comprehensive evaluation in coordination with the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates Airlines will start operating three flights a week in the first stage, Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, with plans to increase the number of flights to four weeks starting from August 2, by adding a trip on Saturday, and the carrier will expand its services to the Syrian capital to a daily trip starting from October 26.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the CEO of Emirates Airlines and the group said: “The resumption of Emirates Airlines operations to Damascus represents a strategic step that supports the stage of recovery and rebuilding in Syria, by providing more travel and air link options, which is an essential pillar to stimulate the economic movement, attract investments, and open new channels for trade and access global markets.”

His Highness added: “This direct link not only serves development goals, but is a vital bridge that links the people of the Syrian community to the Americas, Europe and the Gulf states with their homeland, and allows them to contribute to their experiences and capabilities in supporting the march of the national advancement, and we would like to value constructive cooperation from the competent authorities in Syria, and we look forward through our scheduled operations to enhance the bridges of communication between Dubai and Damascus, in a way that benefits the people of the two countries And the entire region. “

Its flights with the Boeing 777-200LR will be operated, which can accommodate 302 seats, where the flight number “EK 913” will leave from Dubai at 12:00 pm, to reach Damascus International Airport at 14:10 local time, while the return flight “EK 914” will leave Damascus at 16:30 to reach Dubai at 20:30 local time.

These flights will provide new opportunities for customers to travel easily through the Emirates Airlines network, which includes approximately 150 destinations around the world, and will support the UAE’s efforts to enhance bilateral relations, support Syria’s aspirations in reconstruction and attract foreign investment in vital sectors such as energy, construction and agriculture.

Coding partnership with flydubai
