The Egyptian Minister of Finance reveals the date of increasing the wages of state workers

The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kajouk, revealed in a press conference today, Saturday, the date of increasing the wages of state workers, which was approved earlier by the Egyptian Council of Ministers.

Kajok explained that the wage increase will be disbursed to state workers next July, noting that the cost of this increase exceeded 100 billion pounds, thus raising the wage allocations in the Egyptian general budget to 821 billion pounds.

According to the Minister of Finance, the planned increase will raise the minimum income for state workers to reach 8 thousand pounds, pointing to the approval of a periodic bonus of 12% for those addressed by the Civil Service Law and 15% for those not addressed, and an increase in the additional incentive for all workers by about 750 pounds per month, at a total cost amounting to 77.5 billion pounds.

The minister explained that a thousand pounds will be granted per month (an additional teaching incentive for teachers) with the start of the new academic year, and 2,000 pounds (an excellence incentive for distinguished school administration), at a total cost of 14 billion pounds, noting that 750 pounds per month (an additional increase) will be granted to workers in the medical sector, in addition to raising the categories of night and overnight shifts by 25% from the first of next July, at a total cost of 8.5 billion pounds.
