The World Judo Championship draw puts Bashirat Khardi in the face of a Mongolia champion

Budapest on June 13 / WAM / The draw for the World Judo Championship, hosted by the Hungarian capital, Budapest, currently resulted in the face of the Emirati player, Becharat, Khairat, for her Mongolian counterpart, for her Sosurbarm, in the weight of under 52 kg for women, in the preliminary round of the tournament.

This confrontation is a repetition of the previous meeting of the two players at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Salam 2024 championship, during which I crowned my lactops with the gold medal.

The draw also put the national team player Narmenand Bayan, ranked No. 21 globally at a weight under 66 kg, in the face of the Senegalese player Mububou Mhampo, ranked 31, as part of the preliminary qualifiers for the same category.

The UAE Judo team will participate in the tournament in all men’s weights, with the exception of a weight over 100 kg, due to the injuries of our players in this category.

The tournament is held in its 38th edition for men and the 29 women, with the participation of 556 players from 93 countries, including 20 Olympic champions and 28 world champions.

The tournament is an important station within the rounds of the International Federation qualifying for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, and its total financial prizes amount to one million euros, while the competition management takes 16 judgments from the elite judo rulers in the world.
