Baniyas wins over Al Nasr and takes the lead "Super" volleyball

Dubai, April 11 / WAM / The Baniyas team topped the standings of the combined tournament of the Volleyball Super Cup, currently being held at Al Nasr Club Hall with the participation of 4 teams, after the conclusion of the second day’s competitions.
Baniyas, the defending champion, achieved an important victory over Al-Nasr with a score of 3-1, in a match characterized by competitiveness and excitement until the last moments of each half, with scores of 25-20, 23-25, 27-25 and 26-24, so that the team continued its positive results and achieved its second victory in a row.
In the second match, Al Jazira compensated for its loss in the first round against Baniyas, and achieved its first victory by defeating Al Ain 3-0 with a score of 25-19, 25-19, 25-19, inflicting Al Ain with its second loss.
With these results, Baniyas raised its score to 6 points in the lead, followed by Al Jazira second with 3 points, then Al Nasr third with two points, and Al Ain fourth with one point.
The final round to decide the title will be held tomorrow, where Bani Yas will meet Al Ain, and Al Nasr will meet Al Jazira, with the team with the most points at the end of the competitions being crowned champion.
For his part, Osama Gargash, Vice President of the Emirates Volleyball Federation, confirmed that the federation is proceeding according to a clear work program in cooperation with the clubs, which contributed to the success of the season’s competitions and reaching the decisive stages in the various tournaments.
He pointed out that the high level of competition is a positive indicator of the development of volleyball, especially with the federation’s keenness on the diversity of champions, as this has an important role in enhancing the strength of competitions and developing the game, pointing out that the teams that reached the final rounds maintained technical stability throughout the season.
He explained that some clubs were not successful this season despite expectations of their competition, but the teams that reached the advanced stages were the most stable, stressing that administrative support played an important role in achieving this distinction.
For his part, Tunisian Riyad Al-Hudhaili, coach of Baniyas, stressed that the victory over Al-Nasr came thanks to the fighting spirit and high concentration, stressing that the matches of the elite teams are decided by minute details. He praised the role of the bench in tipping the balance in his team’s favor and stressed Baniyas’ ambition to compete for the title.
In turn, Abdullah Ali, a Baniyas player, explained that teamwork and tactical discipline were the key to victory, noting that all participating teams enjoyed high readiness, which required great focus in light of the pressure of the matches.
For his part, Argentine Thomas, coach of Al Jazira, expressed his happiness with the victory over Al Ain, stressing that the strength of competition between the teams and the postponement of the decision to the final round reflects the close level between the participating teams.
