A partnership between Emirates Airlines and Uber to facilitate travel

Emirates Airlines and Uber announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding for a strategic partnership, with the aim of exploring ways to facilitate the travel experience and make it smoother, comfortable and reward for travelers, as this partnership includes improving the movement of mobility for Emirates Airlines dealers, and providing loyalty to members of the Emirates Sky Wardz program when using the “Uber application” in specific markets, within the Emirates Airlines network.

A statement, issued yesterday, stated that the Vice President and CEO of commercial operations at Emirates Airlines, Adnan Kazem, and Vice President and head of the movement in Europe, the Middle East and Africa region of Uber, Annabel Diaz Calderon, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Through this partnership, Emirates and Uber will launch a number of initiatives aimed at providing smoother and ease of travel for travelers. These initiatives include developing an integrated reservation experience linking Uber flights with flight reservations, for more flexible transportation to and from the airport or within the city.

The two sides will also discuss the possibility of providing “Uber” flights from the airport and to him, for a selection of Emirates Airlines, to support an integrated transportation experience from door to destination.

The partnership will also discuss strategic opportunities for documenting cooperation, including granting members of the Emirates Skydors Emirates Airlines in the UAE, the opportunity to gain miles on their flights or replace their miles with a balance or trips vouchers on the “Uber application”. The Emirates Sky Wardz program will explore ways to empower members of the UAE to acquire miles on Uber’s flights in selected markets, within the network of Emirates Airlines.

Other areas of cooperation will include studying opportunities to support the last inclination initiatives for the Emirates Rapid Charging Services Service, by taking advantage of the advanced “Uber” platform technology and its wide network of global delivery partners, with the aim of enhancing the speed and efficiency of the service, and expanding the scope of access to customers.

Kazem said: “We will work closely with (Uber) in the coming months, to take advantage of our common capabilities in the fields of travel and technology, with the aim of expanding the advantages and options available to our customers, by providing more interconnected and comprehensive trips through our network of flights, and providing new and distinctive advantages to members (Sky Wardz Emirates Airlines)».

For her part, Calderon said: “Through (Uber) flights to and from the airport that provides a series of transportation from the door to the destination, along with the joint advantages of loyalty to Uber and (Emirates Airlines), this cooperation will make a qualitative shift in the travel experience of millions of travelers.”
