Sulafa Mimar withdraws from the Ramadan series .. What is the reason?

Syrian director Rasha Sharbatji is preparing to start filming her new series “The City of the City”, which is scheduled to be shown in the Ramadan season of 2026.

Although the filming was scheduled last year, the circumstances that Syria went through prevented its launch, which was reflected in the composition of the heroes, as a result of the repeated postponements of the filming date, which was transferred between spring and early summer, and until today there was no certain date to start.

It was learned that the star, Sulafa Mimar, officially apologized for participating in the series, which will be filmed in Damascus, without clarifying the reasons, whether she is personal or related to the text, the production side, or otherwise.

The withdrawal of Ma’mar coincided with a statement issued by the company “Ebla” for artistic production, in which it revealed the postponement of filming the series “Mamluk” to April 2026, which was the Sulafa that was supposed to lead.

In a previous press statement, Sharbatji replied to a question about the possibility of Sulafa’s absence from work, saying: Without Sulafa, reasonable? We are not in us without a chaos!
