The UAE welcomes the signing of the peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda
Abu Dhabi, June 28/ WAM/ The UAE expressed its deep welcome to the signing of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda, the peace agreement in Washington, praising that it will enhance peace, security and stability in the African continent.
His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State of State, appreciated the efforts made by His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prince of the sisterly State of Qatar, in reaching this positive and constructive achievement, which comes in support of the mediation of the African Union and the outputs of the joint summit of the South African Development Group and the East Africa Group and considered His Excellency that the agreement expresses the will Strong and commitment of both parties to peaceful solutions and dialogue.
His Excellency stressed that the international cooperation that resulted in this agreement reflects the importance of joint work in addressing regional issues and the need to resolve differences through diplomatic means, in a way that meets the aspirations of the peoples of the region towards stability and prosperity.
His Excellency stressed that the UAE is related to historical and powerful relations with the countries of the African continent and with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda.
His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan reaffirmed the entrenched approach of the UAE in promoting the bridges of partnership and dialogue and its support for any effort that contributes to enhancing security, peace and sustainable development on the continent.
