4.8 earthquake strikes Tonga Islands

A 4.8 earthquake on the Richter scale struck today, the Tonga Islands in the South Pacific. The American Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred (30) kilometers southwest of the island, Hayhavo, and at a depth of (119.3) kilometers. No reports have yet been reported about human losses or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
