Korea exports of information and communication technology increased by 5.8% in the first half

Seoul on July 14/ WAM/ The exports of the Republic of Korea from the products of information and communication technology increased by 5.8% on an annual basis during the first half of this year, driven by sales of strong semiconductors amid the increasing demand for data centers, according to government data issued today “Monday”.
The Korean “Yonhap” news agency reported that the value of exports of information and communication technology products amounted to 115.16 billion US dollars in the period from January to June 2025, an increase of 108.83 billion dollars in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Science and Information and Communications Technology in a press statement.
Information and communication technology imports increased by 5% on an annual basis to 70.92 billion dollars in the first half, which led to a trade surplus of $ 44.24 billion in this sector.
