المملكة: High professionalism .. emergency care for international standards for a heart patient in Jeddah

Quickly a high field response and professionalism, the Red Crescent Authority in Makkah Al -Mukarramah region was able to save a patient with severe chest pain, by activating one of the urgent specialized paths, to transfer heart cases directly to the catheter room without going through emergency departments, as part of the continuous efforts to provide advanced emergency care according to the highest international standards.
The authority explained that the ambulance teams in Jeddah Governorate began a report on a sixth -year -old citizen, complaining of sudden pain in the chest, as the band once arriving in the heart was planned inside the ambulance using modern medical devices, and raised the case to the alternate doctor in the operating room.

Cardiac catheter

And based on the results of the planning, the doctor directed the activation of the “urgent path of the cardiac catheter” in coordination with a cooperative hospital, just one day after the approval of this specialized path, which reflects the speed of activating partnerships and the effectiveness of coordination in dealing with emergency situations.

These urgent specialized paths are one of the qualitative initiatives pursued by the Saudi Red Crescent, with the aim of accelerating dealing with some critical cases, and ensuring the delivery of patients to the specialized specialization as soon as possible, which contributes to raising the chances of survival and reducing health complications.

The efficiency of medical cadres

The authority emphasized that this success reflects the efficiency of the field medical cadres, and the high readiness of the ambulance system, in addition to the effectiveness of cooperation with health facilities in various regions, in line with the authority’s aspirations towards improving the quality of life and protecting lives.
The authority also called for the importance of the speed of reporting via the unified number (997) or the application of “Asafni” when noting the symptoms of clots, strokes or severe injuries, and not trying to transport the injured by private means, and the need to make the way for ambulances to ensure the speed of providing emergency medical service.
