Abu Dhabi Water Sports participates in the International Forum in Thailand

Abu Dhabi, July 25/ WAM/ Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club announced the selection of 15 swimmers from 10 years to 13 years, to participate in the international forum in the Thai capital, Bangkok, in the first week of August.

In a statement, the club confirmed the departure of the mission to Thailand today to start the preparation stage scheduled in the “Second Buro” center accredited by the International Water Sports Federation, during the period from July 26 to August 7, given the large infrastructure it provides to develop the competitive capabilities of his swimmers, in preparation for the new season.

The mission is headed by Ahmed Khalfan Al -Jahouri, a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Technical Committee, and includes Bakhit Al Jasmi, administratively, in addition to the coaches Saleh Al -Qubaisi and Sharif Zakaria.

Al -Jahouri emphasized that the international forum is a qualitative station, within the club’s strategy in measuring the indicators of development for its swimmers, and an important stage to gain experiences, especially as it will witness the participation of a number of Asian clubs and international academies.

On the other hand, the club concluded yesterday the activities of the “Awareness Forum” on the occasion of the International Day to Combat Drowning, which falls on July 25 of each year, at the Olympic Swimming pool of the sports center of Mohammed bin Zayed City, with the participation of 40 swimming pools and swimming.

The forum included theoretical axes on drowning and its causes, the mechanism for dealing with water bodies such as swimming pools and beaches, focusing on safe instructions to be present during the summer, and the importance of learning to swim as a life skill.
