المملكة: 40 thousand applicants for distinguished residence within a year and a half … and the benefits attract investors
The distinguished residence platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia revealed that it received 40,163 requests from applicants inside and outside the Kingdom, during the period from January 2024 to July 2025, in a clear indication of the escalation of the demand for this system, which is one of the most prominent initiatives supporting Saudi Arabia 2030 in attracting competencies and investors. Distinguished during the year 2024 alone, it varied between the category of “competencies” that topped the number of 5,578 accommodations, followed by “Talent Category” with 348 residencies, then other categories that include “the owner of a property”, “entrepreneur”, and “business investor”. Empowering those with exceptional competencies and global talents to reside, invest and work in Saudi Arabia without the need for a sponsor, and these products include establishing exceptional efficiency – establishing talent – setting up a business investor – setting up a pioneer – residence of a real estate owner – unique residences that are not limited to a period of time. Distinguished residence provides a package of qualitative advantages, the most prominent of which are: permanent or specific residence for the application holder and his family – freedom of entry and exit from the Kingdom without a visa – an exemption from the fees for the financial compensation for expatriates and escorts – the possibility of investing and owning real estate and vehicles – work in the private sector without the need for a sponsor – recruitment of domestic workers and issuing visas visas for relatives. /> It also allows residents to have a useful real estate instrument in Makkah and Madinah for a period of up to 99 years, in addition to the possibility of using travel paths for citizens at airports.
