Under the leadership of Saif bin Zayed, the UAE participates in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers

ABU DHABI, 1st April / WAM / The United Arab Emirates, headed by Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, participated in the work of the forty-third session of the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior, which was held via video conference, with the participation of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of the Interior of the sisterly Arab countries, representatives of the League of Arab States, the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and the Arab Police Sports Federation, along with high-level Arab security delegations.
During his speech, His Highness indicated that the holding of this session comes at a time when the region is witnessing accelerating challenges, in light of the brutal and unjustified Iranian attacks that targeted the Gulf states and brotherly and friendly countries.
His Highness stressed that the United Arab Emirates is fine, thanks to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” the efficiency and readiness of the armed forces, and the solidarity of the UAE community of citizens and residents, in addition to the strength of relations with friendly countries.
His Highness said: “Based on close coordination with our brothers in the Arab Gulf countries, we confirm our full readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance whenever the need arises, out of belief in the duty of brotherhood and a common destiny, especially in times of crisis.”
His Highness confirmed that His Highness the President, “may God protect him,” stressed that “the UAE’s security and sovereignty are at the top of the priorities, and that the state’s approach, based on wisdom and balance, continues, in order to spare the region from further tension and challenges.”
At the conclusion of his speech, His Highness expressed his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the martyrs of the nation and duty, and to the civilian victims of the blatant and treacherous Iranian attacks, asking God Almighty for a speedy recovery for the wounded, to protect the homelands and peoples from all harm, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, most notably the report of the General Secretariat on its activities between the forty-second and forty-third sessions, and the report of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences on its work during the same period.
The meeting also reviewed the draft of the second phase of the developed Arab strategy to combat terrorism, in addition to the recommendations issued by the conferences and meetings organized by the General Secretariat between the forty-second (2025) and forty-third (2026) sessions of the Council, and the results of joint meetings with Arab and international bodies, in addition to a number of other related topics.
