The Emirati rescue team continues to contain forest fires in Albania with high efficiency

With high field efficiency, the Emirati rescue team continues its advanced operations to put out large forest fires in several regions of the Republic of Albania, where he has today carried out 19 specialized sorties using two Black Hawk aircraft.

These operations included 406 accurate water drops on fire foci, during which more than 700 thousand kilograms of water used it, which contributed greatly to containing fires and limiting their spread.

These qualitative efforts come despite the great field challenges facing the team, which is the high rise in temperatures and the rugged geographical nature of the affected areas, where the operations are carried out in close cooperation and continuous coordination with the competent Albanian authorities.

The team had started its duties last Monday in the Grash Forests and the surrounding areas, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, to support the Republic of Albania in controlling forest fires.

Coordination meetings continue between the Emirati team and dairy officials with the aim of developing the necessary operational plans that guarantee the acceleration of firefighting operations, in conjunction with the continuous field monitoring of the areas where fire was extinguished to prevent their renewal.
