Abu Dhabi, August 25 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Export Office “ADX”, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, continues its commitment to supporting national exports through strategic investments in digital and green infrastructure, which contributes to pushing the development process in Angola, and enhancing the presence of Emirati companies on the global scene.
In February 2023, the office signed two financing agreements with the Angola government worth more than 445 million dirhams, to support vital projects in the fields of technology and infrastructure, and includes the first agreement, which amounts to more than 330 million dirhams, the establishment of two data center and a cloud computing platform according to the latest international standards, through the UAE company “Priyasate” specializing in artificial intelligence solutions and data.
As for the second agreement, with a value of more than 115 million dirhams, it aims to update road lighting systems in several cities in the Republic of Angola through the use of energy -saving technologies and environmentally friendly, in cooperation with the leading UAE company “Mark Kaples” in the field of cable and energy systems.
These financing facilities were implemented in partnership with Standard Charterd Bank, which provides a safe financial structure and enhances the chances of success and sustainability of projects.
His Excellency Mohamed Saif Al -Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Export Office, stressed that supporting strategic projects that have a development impact on partner countries and opens at the same time new markets for Emirati companies represents the essence of “ADEX”, adding that cooperation with Angola reflects the common vision of the two countries in supporting the process of sustainable development and economic prosperity, and paves the way for more partnerships The future that benefits on both sides.
