Cooperation between Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals and Ras Al Khaimah University for Medicine

Ras Al Khaimah, September 4/ WAM/ Sheikh Khalifa hospitals signed a memorandum of understanding with Ras Al Khaimah University for Medicine and Health Sciences, aimed at providing advanced and specialized clinical training opportunities for medical and health science students at the university, inside hospital facilities and modern medical facilities.
The memo is of particular importance, as it is the first of its kind to be signed at the level of all medical facilities affiliated with Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals, which includes Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital in Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Ajman, and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Fujairah.
Combined facilities include a capacity of approximately 600 beds, in which more than 2,500 medical personnel work, along with 630 doctors.
The memo states to expand the areas of cooperation to include the implementation of joint research initiatives, the exchange of members of the academic body, and the training of students within the concession programs, in addition to contributing to vocational development and continuous medical education, while the two parties are obligated to cooperate in organizing academic activities, exchanging publications and scientific and research materials, and participating in joint events such as seminars, conferences and workshops.
The signing ceremony took place at Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital in Ras Al -Khaimah, in the presence of representatives of all hospitals covered by the memo, and His Excellency Salem Al Sharhan, Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, along with a number of academic leaders.
Dr. Aref Al -Shehhi, CEO of the Medical Office of “Burhailth” said that the memo reflects the office’s commitment to promoting health education and scientific research in the UAE, as opening the doors of the Sheikh Khalifa hospital network in front of future medical cadres, is an investment in preparing qualified and distinguished cadres capable of contributing to drawing the future of medicine in the region, pointing to the embodiment of the strategic vision of the medical office in supporting academic partnerships The leading.
