Live broadcast to monitor the total lunar eclipse in the sky of the Emirates

The International Astronomy Center broadcasts a live and direct broadcast of the total lunar eclipse witnessed in the sky of the region this evening Sunday 07 September 2025 AD, where this eclipse can be seen entirely from most of the continents of Asia and Australia, and parts of it can be seen from the continents of Africa and Europe. For the east of the Arab world, the moon will rise before the beginning of the eclipse, while it will rise from the center of the Arab world while it is in the early stages of the eclipse.

The center transmits the facts of the eclipse broadcasting the image directly through one of the telescopes of the astronomical sealing observatory, and the live broadcast is expected to extend to 11:50 pm Emirates time. The broadcast can be continued through any of the following links to the center on social media:

With regard to the eclipse times, the moon will start entering the semi -shadow area at 07:28 pm Emirates time, and the partial eclipse will start at 08:27 pm, and the total eclipse will start at 09:31 pm, and the eclipse will reach its peak at 10:12 pm, and the total eclipse will end at 10:53 pm, and the partial eclipse will end at 11:57 pm, while the eclipse will end completely At 12:55 am tomorrow, Monday, Emirates time. In general, the eclipse will be observed with the naked eye from 08:15 pm to 12:15 am Emirates time.

Usually the moon does not disappear during the total eclipse due to the penetration of the sun through the Earth’s atmosphere and its refraction towards the moon, so the moon is then bright colors such as yellow, orange or red, and the color of the moon is considered at the time of the total eclipse an indication of the purity of the Earth’s atmosphere, the more pollution in the atmosphere, the lower rays that are broken by it and thus the lighter lighting at the time of the eclipse and its color tends to be red or dark Brown, and in rare cases, the moon may disappear just as it happened in the 12/09/1992 eclipse due to the explosion of Berkan Berkane in the Philippines in June 1991.

The first image shows the dates of the eclipse for some Arab cities, so that the yellow fields mean that the moon will be below the horizon at these times for the indicated city, while the second image shows the world map showing it the areas that can see the eclipse either completely or partially.
