Hollywood anger … because of a virtual actress with artificial intelligence

The project has sparked anger among the actors, especially after the company’s institution, Eileen van der Felden, announced that several agencies are seeking to contract with this digital character, with the aim of converting it to “Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman” new.
The reactions were strong, as actress Melissa Parrera wrote on Instagram: “I hope that all actors will give up the agency that supported this work. What a terrible matter!” As for the star Mara Wilson, she accused the studio of stealing the features of hundreds of young women to make this actress, considering that what is happening “theft of identity is more than being creative.”
For his part, actor Lucas Gigg commented in a sarcastic tone, considering that the virtual actress “a nightmare on photography sites” because of her inability to interact in reality or adhere to the dates.
For these criticisms, Van der Valdeen came out of her silence to confirm that Tele Norwood is not a substitute for a person, but rather a “new form of art”, similar to animation or special effects. But she stressed that virtual actors should be seen as an independent type, not as a direct competitor to humans.
The controversy reflects the size of the growing anxiety in the creative circles of the seduction of artificial intelligence, especially after the success of virtual music and advertising campaigns with digital faces in recent months.
