Adolescence is considered one of the most accurate stages in the life of the girl, as it begins with physical, psychological, and emotional transformation, in which the deep need of feelings of self -confidence and acceptance of others, especially from the family, appears in it. Self -confidence is not born with a person, but is gradually built, and the family plays a pivotal role in building or demolishing it.

First: listening with interest

One of the first steps to build confidence in the same teenager is to feel her voice is heard and her opinions are respectful. Real listening means leaving the phone aside, looking at her eyes, and not boycotting it, which gives it a sense of importance and safety.

Second: Supporting it without issuing judgments

It is normal for adolescence to be mistaken or immature decisions. The role of the parents here is not only punishment, but gently guidance, and support when you make mistakes, to understand that the error does not mean failure, but an opportunity to learn and grow.

Third: Encouraging decisions

It is important to involve the teenage girl in making some daily decisions such as choosing her clothes, or organizing her time. When a decision -making opportunity is given, she feels able to control her life, which enhances her self -confidence.

Fourth: Avoid comparisons

One of the things that destroys the girl’s self -confidence is the comparison, whether with her sisters, colleagues or famous personalities. Every girl of its kind, and it must be raised that her value is not measured by others, but by herself.

Fifth: Focus on the strengths

Help your daughter discover her skills and interests, whether she is drawing, sports, or science. Praise these skills and motivating them to develop them enhances their confidence and their ability to shine.

Sixth: Build a positive image of the body

In the era of communication sites, many girls suffer from problems accepting their bodies. Encourage your daughter to respect her body as it is, and set an example for her in a positive talk about the soul, without focusing on the false idealism.
