"Ports, customs and free zone" Participate in "GITEX Global 2025"

Dubai, October 8 / WAM / The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Foundation in Dubai announced its participation in the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition, which will be held from October 13 to 17, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Through its wing at the exhibition, the Foundation reviews a set of advanced digital projects and initiatives that reflect its commitment to implementing its strategy aimed at supporting the emirate’s directions towards a comprehensive digital transformation, and enhancing its vital role in developing a smart customs and logistical system that contributes to the sustainability of the business environment and achieves the targets of Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Dr. Mohamed Jumaa Rahma, Executive Director of Technology and Digital Transformation at the Foundation, said that the Foundation’s participation in “GITEX Global” comes within the framework of its keenness to keep pace with the latest developments in the world of technology and innovation, pointing out that the exhibition is an ideal platform for reviewing the latest digital innovations and interaction with global experiences hosted by Dubai, as well as discussing pivotal topics such as smart cities, artificial intelligence, and security Cyber.
He affirmed the Foundation’s commitment to keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the world of technology and building strategic partnerships that enhance the quality and efficiency of its customs and logistical services, noting that the most prominent projects presented by the Foundation during the exhibition activities include “Marsa”, which represents a unified digital platform for marine sidewalk management in Dubai, and the drone project “Dron”, which constitutes an advanced system that supports ports power operations Dubai, as well as highlighting the “Digital Zero Four 04”, the first national company specialized in the field of smart transformation in commercial operations and the development of digital -backed digital solutions, and reviewing the most prominent smart solutions, photography systems and digital control enhanced with a unified digital infrastructure and connected to partner government agencies systems.
For his part, Rashid Al -Sharad, Executive Director of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector at Dubai Customs, explained that the participation of the department in GITEX 2025 will focus on highlighting the digital transformation in customs services and procedures, and how customs systems can turn from regulatory tools to smart platforms that make a real difference in customer experience, and dedicate Dubai’s position as a pivotal center in global trade.
He said that the department will announce during the exhibition the announcement of a set of new qualitative initiatives, the most prominent of which are the “System of Radiation Prevention and Monitoring”, the “Som” application, which represents an advanced digital platform that creates a qualitative shift in auctions through safe payment solutions, automatic notifications, advanced search features, and the “coordinator” platform that represents the new generation of goods classification systems using artificial intelligence technologies.
