ABU DHABI, 7 JUNE / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Honorary President of the Safety and Emergency Security Association and Chairman of the Board of the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies, affirmed that the UAE has established a unique global model in promoting the values of tolerance and human coexistence through the vision of its wise leadership, which made dialogue, understanding and cooperation between different cultures basic pillars for achieving sustainable development and societal stability, indicating that building safe societies capable of facing challenges and crises is not limited to developing systems. And not only procedures, but it begins with enhancing the values of mutual respect and community cohesion and establishing a culture of shared responsibility between members of society and its institutions.
This came at the conclusion of the Safety and Emergency Security Association’s participation in the Third International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance, which was hosted by Abu Dhabi from June 3 to 5, with the participation of an elite group of officials, decision-makers, academics and experts from various countries of the world as part of the efforts of the United Arab Emirates aimed at promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue between cultures and peoples.
Haitham Mohammed Al-Raisi, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, said that the conference represented an important international platform for exchanging experiences and ideas and promoting constructive dialogue between different cultures and civilizations, which contributes to consolidating the concepts of human understanding and cooperation, pointing out that the values of tolerance and coexistence adopted by the UAE constitute a solid foundation for building more cohesive societies and the ability to face challenges, noting that enhancing community awareness and institutional partnerships are among the most important pillars supporting the safety, preparedness and effective response system. His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi signed two new books on sustainability and climate change.
The Society signed a memorandum of understanding with the Emirates Researchers Association with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of research, scientific and training, exchanging experiences and knowledge, implementing initiatives and programs that contribute to community service and supporting sustainable development, in addition to employing scientific research and specialized studies in supporting the fields of safety, emergency and crisis management, promoting a culture of innovation and scientific research, and developing community initiatives that contribute to raising the level of awareness and preparedness among various segments of society.
Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary-General of the Emirates Researchers Center, confirmed that the signing of the memorandum between the Safety and Emergency Security Association and the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies represents a practical model for knowledge partnerships aimed at employing scientific research and specialized expertise to serve society and enhance readiness to face future challenges.
Dr. Hind Sahouh Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Safety and Emergency Security Society, confirmed that the Society’s participation in the conference was in line with the Society’s mission aimed at building effective strategic partnerships with various national institutions and benefiting from research and academic expertise in developing initiatives and specialized programs in the fields of safety, emergency security, and community preparedness. She pointed out that the memorandum with the Emirates Researchers Society represents an important step towards enhancing integration between scientific knowledge and field applications, which contributes to supporting national efforts aimed at building a society that is more aware, prepared, and capable of Facing future challenges.
