Due to the fighting, 80% of health facilities in eastern Congo suffer from a shortage of medicines

The International Committee of the Red Cross announced that more than 200 health facilities in the eastern Republic of is facing a severe shortage of medicines, due to the escalation of fighting in the region and the decline in humanitarian funding.

The committee said that it assessed the conditions of 240 health centers and clinics in the regions of North Kivu and South Kivu, which witnessed earlier in the year the widespread progress of the M23 movement supported by Rwanda, which exacerbated one of the largest in the world.
