European Union countries begin implementing the new Entry and Exit System (EES) on Sunday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, as of Sunday, October 12, 2025, European Union countries will begin implementing the new entry and exit system (EES), which requires the registration of passport data and biometric information (photo and fingerprints) upon first entry into one of the border crossings of the European Union countries, and travelers who are citizens of the UAE must take this into account, with the exception of holders of diplomatic passports.
