The Head of State and the King of Jordan discuss by telephone regional developments and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed with his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, today – during a phone call – regional developments following the military escalation and its serious repercussions that threaten the security and stability of the region.

During the call, His Majesty condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan, stressing that it constitutes a serious violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee full protection of diplomatic missions and their headquarters.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II, for the support and solidarity he expressed for the UAE.

The two sides stressed the necessity of working to immediately stop military actions and give priority to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address various outstanding issues in the region in order to avoid further tensions and crises there and in a way that preserves regional security and stability.
