The Wrestling Federation reviews the exchange of experiences with its Georgian counterpart

Tbilisi, October 12 / WAM / The UAE Wrestling Federation reviewed ways of international strategic cooperation and exchange of experiences with its Georgian counterpart.

The Union said in a statement today that a delegation from the Union made an official visit to the capital, Tbilisi, organized by the UAE Embassy in Georgia.

He explained that the step consolidates the federation’s efforts and future strategies, using sport as a tool for cultural communication, enhancing friendship between peoples, and building pioneering international partnerships that contribute to empowering players and developing the sports system, in a way that enhances the national vision of investing in youth energies.

He pointed out that Sheikh Hamdan bin Saeed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Secretary-General of the Federation, and Giga Tamaz, President of the Georgian Wrestling Federation, reviewed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of preparing players, exchanging technical expertise, and holding joint camps and tournaments.
The delegation visited the most prominent wrestling facilities in Georgia, to learn about the advanced training systems and infrastructure that contributed to the development of this sport, opening the horizons of employing expertise to support the programs of the UAE Wrestling Federation.
The two sides confirmed their aspiration to launch joint initiatives during the next phase, which will enhance the development of wrestling, expand the base of its practitioners, and thus consolidate the UAE’s position in developing this sport regionally and internationally.
